One of my favourite flavour combinations has to be mint and lime, it’s absolute summer perfection. Mojito’s are easily one of my go-to summer cocktails, they are so easy to make and oh so refreshing.
This creamy milkshake is the perfect way to refresh your guests after a summer BBQ. You need to add this to your easy recipes list since it’s ready in a total time of literally 3 minutes.
What you’ll need to make this lime & mint milkshake…
- 1/2 cup milk, I used whole milk
- vanilla ice cream, about 3/4 cups vanilla ice cream
- fresh lime juice, juice from 1 lime
- a handful of fresh mint leaves
- lime zest and mint sprigs for garnish, optional
How to make this refreshing Mojito Milkshake…
It’s as easy as adding 3/4 cup ice cream, milk, fresh lime juice and a handful of fresh mint sprigs into a blender. Blend for about 30 seconds, or until the mint is completely blended in.
Serve and garnish with an additional teaspoon lime zest, lime slices and some extra mint!
FAQs & Variations…
- If using an ice cream maker, simply add lime juice and minced mint into the bowl of an ice cream maker along with your base (as per machine directions).
- If you want a more tart and aromatic lime flavour, replace regular limes with 1 tablespoon of key lime juice or limeade concentrate.
