FAQ’s and variations…
-
Can I use any type of tequila in this recipe? I suggest using Blanco tequila, silver tequila but would not use darker than reposado tequila.
-
Can’t find any blood oranges? This cocktail is just as good with Cara cara oranges or a navel orange. Simply replace the blood oranges with regular oranges for a bright and citrusy orange flavor.
-
If you don’t have Cointreau, you can use Grand Marnier, Cointreau or Triple Sec.
-
No honey? No problem…substitute with agave nectar or maple syrup. You can even use simple syrup by adding equal parts of sugar and water into a small saucepan. Stir on medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool in the fridge before using. Store in a mason jar for up to 5 days.
