Well would you look at this, it’s the weekend already which means it is time for the 5th Summer Sippers in this series. I am so pumped that you guys are loving them and even more happy to see you making them. Keep sending me your photos…seriously love seeing them!

I love cocktails, and I also love easy cocktails. I don’t like to overcomplicate things and love finding new ways of using ingredients that are already in my fridge or pantry. I recently did a Blueberry French 75 (recipe here), using Blueberry jam for a new take on a classic cocktail. I loved using the jam since it was so easy and didn’t need to make a simple syrup. I also don’t like overly sweet drinks, so if I can find an alternative….I am all in.

I had a jar of Raspberry Jam and wanted to create something refreshing for those hot summer afternoons. I’ve always loved a Raspberry & Lime combination, and limes go perfectly with Gin. So here it is, a twist on a G&T with Raspberry and Lime!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 oz of Gin

  • 1 tbsp of Raspberry Jam

  • Tonic Water

  • Handful of ice

  • 1-2 Lime slices for garnish

  • Raspberries for garnish

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a cocktail shaker; add your Gin, Raspberry jam and a handful of ice. Give it a good shake to get the Gin and jam mixed well.

  2. In a glass, add a few pieces of ice and strain the mixture of your cocktail shaker.

  3. Top your glass with Tonic Water.

  4. Garnish with a lime wedge and a few Raspberries.

And voila, a fresh twist on a classic.

Cheers!
