Strawberry & Goat cheese is the perfect combination of flavours.

This is a super easy appetizer idea for your next brunch or wine night. All you need for these little tarts is 5 ingredients and about 20 minutes of your time.

Goat Cheese and Strawberries go so so well together and the crunch of the buttery Phyllo makes for the perfect bite. These are best served the day of.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4-5 sheets of phyllo pastry

  • 3 tbsp of butter, melted

  • 3/4 cups of goat cheese

  • 1 tbsp of sugar

  • 1 cup of strawberries, sliced or chopped

  • 1 tbsp of cornstarch


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. In a small saucepan; add the sliced strawberries, sugar and cornstarch. Mix until cornstarch and sugar are incorporated and simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes.

  3. Roll out the Phyllo sheets and layout the 1st sheet on a large cutting board.

  4. Brush the melted butter covering the entire sheet and top with the second sheet of Phyllo. Repeat for the 2 other sheets.

  5. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the Phyllo sheets into 12 squares.

  6. Using a 12-cup muffin pan, line the bottom of each cup with a square of Phyllo and fill with 1 tbsp of goat cheese and top with a spoonful of strawberries.

  7. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the edges of the pastry turn golden.

  8. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
