Corn season is in full swing, so what better time to enjoy this simple Smokey Cheesy Grilled Corn. You can find them everywhere right now and they are so inexpensive. They are the perfect side (and healthier option) for those summer BBQs.

How to season the corn on the cob…

The delicious seasoning is made by combining some butter, nutritional yeast (which gives it the cheesy flavour), garlic and smoked paprika. Everything works so well together and it is quite easy to prepare.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/4 of softened butter

  • 1/4 cup of nutritional yeast

  • 1 tbsp of garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp of smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp of salt

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a small bowl, mix the nutritional yeast, butter, smoked paprika, garlic powder and salt.

  2. Once your corn is ready to hit the grill, spread the butter mixture over the pieces of corn. I find using your fingers makes it easier to get the butter mixture spread evenly.

  3. On high heat (and preferably using a grill mat), grill your corn for about 10-12 minutes. Rotate a few times until all sides have the perfect char.

This recipe can also be done in the oven if needed. Preheat to 400F, put corn on a baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes.
